Concord gives coding agents a shared place to claim work before changing a repository. When two agents claim the same file or module, it reports the overlap so they can divide the task instead of discovering the collision after editing.

The project connects to clients including Claude Code, Codex and Cursor through the Model Context Protocol, which lets an agent use external tools. Its local task store keeps decisions and review evidence attached to the work. A handoff remains with the sender until the receiving agent accepts it.

Agents can send messages across supported clients, but immediate delivery depends on the receiving client’s adapter and session state. Concord reports an unreachable recipient rather than quietly sending the message somewhere else.

The software is MIT-licensed. It collects product-usage telemetry by default, with a documented opt-out. The project says those events exclude code and message contents.
