Waku is a native interface for coding-agent command-line tools, bringing their sessions, transcripts and tool activity into one window. It is built in Rust with GPUI, the graphics framework used by Zed.
The app connects through each agent’s supported event interface and converts those events into a shared timeline. Projects, provider identifiers and transcripts remain on the user’s disk, according to the product page.
Each prompt checkpoints the working tree under a hidden Git reference. Waku says its rewind action restores both the code and the associated provider conversation, instead of only hiding later chat messages.
Keyboard controls support queued follow-ups, mid-turn steering and stopping the agent. The app controls CLIs users already have; its local interface is not a separate model service.
