Matt Pocock’s skills repository turns common software-engineering practices into instructions that coding agents can load separately. It covers requirements interviews, specifications, task breakdowns, test-driven development and code review.

The skills distinguish commands a person invokes from reusable disciplines an agent can apply itself. Planning commands can produce a project glossary and architectural decision records, so later sessions use the same terms and preserve the reasons behind a design.

Pocock recommends installing either an updating plug-in or editable copies through skills.sh, not both, which would duplicate the skills. A setup step records the project’s issue tracker, triage labels and document locations.

The collection also includes a diagnosis workflow and an architecture survey. Teams can adopt those pieces individually rather than replace their entire development process.
