Vercel’s GPT-5.6 Sol pricing update applies its existing 50% AI Gateway discount to OpenAI’s lower list prices. For standard requests within the stated context limit, the promotional rate becomes $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, down from $2.50 and $15.
The announcement retains the September 18 promotion deadline. It also lists discounted Flex rates of $1 for input and $5 for output, and Priority rates of $4 and $20. Those figures are per million tokens for requests up to 272,000 tokens; longer-context requests have separate rates.
Existing requests use the same model identifier, so the lower price applies without a code change. Requests billed using a customer’s own OpenAI key are different: those remain subject to that customer’s rate with OpenAI, not the Gateway promotion.
