Amazon made Quick, its AI work assistant, generally available as a desktop app for macOS and Windows in September 2026. The client can work with folders users approve on their computers and stay connected to calendars, email and business applications.

Quick agents continue running on AWS after a laptop closes. Users can review the same conversation or agent work through the mobile app. On iOS and Android, a new activity feed groups email, messaging, CRM and calendar updates into a prioritized list of decisions for the user.

The desktop application is not an on-premises AI system. AWS says Quick runs in its cloud, keeping conversations, memory, generated files and searchable indexes in separate user accounts. The installed app stores local configuration, folder permissions and connection details. AWS says it does not use those conversations or files to train its AI models, and organizations can audit activity through CloudWatch and CloudTrail.

AWS lists desktop availability in seven regions across the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific.
