Google is adding a setting that lets users remove visible watermarks from AI-generated images, videos and music. The company says the change does not remove invisible SynthID watermarks or C2PA content-credential metadata.

The toggle covers Nano Banana, Omni and Lyria, according to an August 14 announcement by Gemini executive Josh Woodward reported by TechCrunch. It is rolling out in Gemini and the Flow video editor over the following days. Search support is planned later.

Once the setting appears, users can change it under Settings, then Media Watermark. A downloaded item can therefore lose its visible badge while retaining separate provenance signals.
