ChatOSS is a desktop workspace for using AI agents inside code repositories. It combines conversations with a Kanban board for planning tasks and tracking the work assigned to different agents.
The product supports models served locally through Ollama as well as cloud providers. Its documented model families include Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, Minimax and Gemma. Users can switch models during a conversation and run more than one agent in parallel.
ChatOSS also presents an extensible collection of apps, including examples such as a pull-request reviewer and migration assistant. The workspace is intended to hold those tools alongside the code and task board.
The project says local-model use is free and needs no account or credit card. That offer concerns the local option, not an included allowance for paid cloud inference.
