Magic Patterns has built a virtual theme-park generator inspired by RollerCoaster Tycoon. A user describes a park, and an agent assembles themed areas, rides, roller coasters and the paths connecting them. It is a browser-based creative experiment.
In an August 26 Show HN discussion, its developer explained that the project borrows ideas from Magic Patterns' Design System Agent. Rather than letting a model place arbitrary objects, the generator uses constraints: tracks should form complete circuits, rides need path access, and scenery should match the selected world. A second agent evaluates a generated park against a rubric, which guides adjustments to the rules.
The interface advertises starting points such as pirate coves and chocolate factories. Its developer says visitors can follow virtual guests and watch rides.
The limitations are visible in the original discussion. Some users reported generic-looking parks despite specific prompts, and others complained that generation led to registration rather than an immediate result. The developer acknowledged gaps in available assets and a bug affecting themed results.
